Gaeilge/Ukrainian Colouring Book Launch

Picture taken in Scoil Cholmáin, Muigh-inis of all involved to mark the launch of Spraoi/Забава' - Gaeilge/Ukrainian colouring book which was an initiative of Galway Rural Development and Tuismitheoirí na Gaeltachta.

A very special children's book was launched in September in Ionad Cuimhneacháin na nImirceach, Carna. 'Spraoi/Забава' is a Gaeilge/Ukrainian colouring book  for local and Ukrainian children and was a collaborative project between Galway Rural Development and Tuismitheoirí na Gaeltachta. It was developed as a learning tool to help local and Ukrainian children integrate through language in a fun interactive way.  

Cllr Pete Roche, Chairperson of GRD, said "This will be an invaluable classroom learning aid and a source of enjoyment in the home for both communities and we are proud to partner on this. We warmly praise Sorcha Ní Chéilleachair, Ceannasaí of Tuismitheoirí na Gaeltachta, for her work on the project, the illustrators and translators, and the pupils of Scoil Cholmáin, Muigh-inis".
