It is that time of year again!
The Cathaoirleach’s Community Awards 2019 for Galway County will take place on May 30th, 2019 in the Connemara Coast Hotel, Furbo, County Galway. Like last year, the awards will be jointly hosted by Galway County Council and Galway County Public Participation Network ( PPN). It is a great opportunity for voluntary groups and volunteers to be recognised for their invaluable contribution to their community.
Galway County Council and the PPN are seeking nominations for the following 9 categories:
1. Environmental Award 2. Sports Award 3. Arts & Culture Award 4. Heritage Publication Award 5. Best Contribution to Heritage Award 6. Best Contribution to the Irish Language 7. Social Inclusion Award 8. Community facilities Award 9. Volunteer of the Year Award

Closing Date for receiving nomination forms is 4.00pm Friday, 10th May, 2019. Winners will be presented with a prestigious award from the Cathaoirleach and a prize of €500 at an Awards Ceremony on the evening of May 30th, in the Connemara Coast Hotel, Furbo, Co. Galway.
