Galway Rural Development - Tuesday, January 22, 2019

Ageing, dementia, support services, finance, fair deal scheme, loneliness and community supports for both urban and rural older people are some of the important topics which will be discussed at the upcoming ‘Advancing Care in the Community for Older People’ public information event being hosted free of charge by Nursing Homes Ireland West Region, taking place in The Ardilaun Hotel, Taylor’s Hill, Galway on Saturday 26th January.

Expert speakers and professionals from the region will advise on the range of solutions available for older people, their families and carers in the west of Ireland. Members of the public are welcome to come along, free of charge, 12.00 to 5pm – tea, coffee and finger food provided and ample parking at the hotel. The event will be opened by Mr. Keith Finnegan of Galway Bay FM who will be MC.

Welcome to the Galway Rural Development website. Galway Rural Development, through the programmes we administer, will continue to work along with other agencies, groups and individuals around the county to improve the quality of life for all citizens in our area. We especially wish to work with those who are most in need of assistance, to provide real opportunities for people to gain significant improvements for themselves and their communities throughout rural Galway.
