Feedback from Men's Health Week in Headford

Galway Rural Development - Thursday, June 13, 2019



Mens Health day was organised in St. Fursa Hall Headford  Wednesday June 12th 2019 and was a great success.

It was organised by Solas Family Resource Centre and Galway Rural Development funded the diabetes screenings. 

A total of 59 men attended this Health awareness day.

Information providers included; Croi Heart and Stroke Centre,  Mental Heath Ireland, AIDS West, Chime  (National charity for Deafness and Hearing Loss ) Diabetes Ireland, Marie Keating Foundation, Solas Family Resource Centre, Ciara McHugh Optician and Galway Rural Development (GRD).

Croi  provided a Blood Pressure and Health Check and Diabetes Ireland provided a Blood Sugar Check for all  the men who attended and also provided risk assessments and screening for men.  

Thanks to all the organisations who made this such a productive day and for the men who take their health seriously and turned up on the day.
