East Galway Communities benefit from quarter of a million euros in funding thanks to the LEADER Programme run by Galway Rural Development

Galway Rural Development is delighted to announce the allocation of  LEADER funding for the following projects:

€135,000  to Clarinbridge GAA club for major upgrade works.

€61,000  to Herd’s Cottage at Carrantryle Park in Dunmore for renovations.

€10 ,000 to Ardrahan GAA for the installation of walkway lighting.

€10,000 to Dunmore Community Centre for upgrade works

€8,,000  to Loughnane and Quinn Memorial Hall in Ardrahan for works

Despite the restrictions imposed during this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, LEADER staff and the members of the Evaluation Committee have continued to assess and process applications for funding. The construction sector will be working again from May 18th, so these projects will be going ahead without delay. GRD invites further applications for LEADER funding. Download the Expression of Interest Form from the  LEADER section of the website, under Programmes and send it to leader@grd.ie.  You don't have to give precise costings or details at this initial stage.
