Developing and Growing Your 2016 Festival

Do you need assistance with growing your 2016 Festival? This practical three hour
programme will help your festival team understand the importance of incorporating the
proposition brand promise into your festival offering and assist you to develop your
festival’s appeal to domestic and international visitors through a range of sales and
marketing activities.
Workshop content
 An overview of the brand promise and how you can use that to win more visitors
 An understanding of priority international markets and segments for the proposition
 Examples of how festivals and events that are currently leveraging the brand promise
 Identifying local partners/experiences to cross sell and work with
 How to conduct research to inform future festival offerings
 Good practice tips for securing sponsorship
 Actions to market and sell your festival (including how to get onto the Fáilte Ireland
platforms)
 The right digital marketing platforms to use to sell your festival.

By the end of this highly practical interactive programme you will:

additional visitors to your area
 Identify actions to be undertaken within your own festival that will support your sales
and marketing efforts

selling of them. Please note that a maximum of two representatives from each festival
can attend.
