Description:

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience is necessary.  Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

Duties:

This role will involve caring for Clients who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer/Dementia.  The successful candidate will work in a day care environment in Knocknacarra Day Centre on a Tuesday and Merlin Park Day Centre on a Wednesday.  The remaining 6-7 hours will be caring for clients in their own homes.  Also, engaging in activities with the clients which is suited to meet their individual needs.

Applicants must have an interest in a caring role, as duties will include personal care, feeding the clients, engaging in activities which is suited to meet the client’s individual needs and taking the clients for walks.  Also, accompanying the clients on the bus to/from the day centres.  Applicants must respect the rights, dignity and confidentiality of all clients.

Salary: CE Rates.
