Castleblakeney

Castleblakeney is a peaceful village 30 miles east of Galway, 15 miles west of Ballinasloe and 3 miles south-east of Mountbellew. Some of the interesting features surrounding the village include the River Cluain, bogland, ringforts and soutterains, with a hill in the centre of Gallagh, once the site of the O'Kelly's Castle.
