Ballygar

Ballygar, on the N63, is an attractive town situated on the River Suck boundary with County Roscommon. Its long street and square are kept neat and tidy and the town has won a number of Tidy Town awards.

The town boasts good services and facilities such as schools, childcare, sports, fishing, entertainment, clubs and heritage walks. Nearby Aghrane Woods has forest walks & picnic sites. Other features of interest include the Suck Valley Way, Hollygrove Lake, the Rivers Suck & Shiven.
